Asako reveals her sexual history with Yuuji to JB, persuading JB to join them. When Asako’s health declines, Yuuji takes over her missions, angering JB. Eventually, Yuuji joins Asako’s organization, and JB consents. Yuuji and Asako travel to America, where Yuuji enrolls in a military academy and befriends Daniel Born. Yuuji assists Danny with training and wins first place in marksmanship. He is challenged by second-place winner Milliela Stanfield to a shooting contest. After Yuuji makes an impossible shot, Millie falls in love with him and follows him everywhere. Yuuji, Danny, and Millie are later assigned to the same platoon.
