Following a previous incident, Shugo’s level increases but immediately drops to one after opening a trapped box. He encounters Hotaru, who is caring for a Grunty that subsequently falls ill. To save the creature, Shugo and Hotaru embark on a quest to locate a phoenix feather. During their journey, Shugo has his first meeting with Sanjuro Sunaarashi. The episode concludes with Balmung requesting that Sanjuro provide training for Shugo. This sequence highlights the sudden setback in Shugo’s progress and the new alliances formed while addressing the health crisis of the Grunty under Hotaru’s supervision.
