Ep. 21: Scar intervenes to save Al, triggering Barry's explosives and freeing Greed

Scar assists Al in defeating Barry, prompting Barry to detonate explosives that release Greed and other prisoners. The elder Slicer agrees to escort Ed into the laboratory, but the younger Slicer breaks his blood seal after Ed addresses him as human. Solf J. Kimblee, the Crimson Alchemist, and other inmates are deceived by a fake Grand into believing they are ingredients for the philosopher's stone. Ed and Slicer face attacks from mutant chimeras until Tucker, who survived his fabricated death and transformed into a chimera, halts the assault. Meanwhile, Al and Scar journey deeper into the facility, where Scar recalls his brother and Ishbal before confronting Lust and Gluttony, whom he identifies as homunculi. Tucker guides Ed through the laboratory, revealing an opportunity for Ed to create the philosopher's stone.
