Ep. 8: Team Haruhiro hunts goblins to earn badges while mourning fallen friends

Determined to prevent further losses, Team Haruhiro tracks the goblins responsible for Manato’s death. In an abandoned building, they engage a difficult battle against skilled foes, utilizing their improved abilities to defeat them. Haruhiro eliminates the last goblin, who had previously stolen his dagger and shot Mary, triggering painful recollections of Manato. Upon victory, the party earns sufficient funds to purchase their Volunteer Soldier badges. Shihoru places a badge at Manato’s grave in tears. As snow falls, Haruhiro and Mary discuss the unhealable wounds of grief regarding her former party members. Mary eventually departs after finding solace in their conversation, leaving Haruhiro to reflect on the enduring pain of loss.
