Jan 11, 2016Haruhiro, Manato, Yume, Shihoru, Ranta, and Moguzo struggle to defeat a goblin in Grimgar’s forest. The next morning, the group discusses their plans while realizing they lack memories of their origins. They recall awakening in a strange tower two weeks ago and formed Team Manato. Britney, Commanding Officer of Red Moon, the Reserve Force of Alterna Frontier Army, registers them as Trainee Volunteer Soldiers. To survive and earn money in Ortana, they sell goblin horns and claws. While others train at their guilds, Haruhiro is mentored by Barbara, master of the Thieves Guild, for one week. Later, Yume aims her bow at Ranta after he comments on Shihoru’s figure. On the thirteenth day, the team spots four goblins camping nearby, with Haruhiro noting that if today fails, there is always tomorrow.
EP 2Trainee soldiers share ale and moonlight before a chaotic goblin hunt and evening mishaps
Jan 18, 2016Haruhiro and Manato drink ale while discussing Shelly's Tavern and their guild training under a red crescent moon. The following day, Team Manato attacks a forest goblin without a plan. Moguzo appears to deliver the killing blow, but Ranta takes a black wolf's fang and a silver coin from the creature's neck. Despite the goblin's attempt to flee, Ranta stabs it repeatedly in regret. The group sells their loot for 130 copper coins and spends the day apart before reuniting at a bridge to watch the sunset. Later, Haruhiro and Manato fail to stop Ranta from peeking into the girls' bathhouse.
EP 3Team Manato endures rain and poverty while hunting goblins in Damuro ruins.
Jan 25, 2016Haruhiro observes Moguzo’s pre-Grimgar passion for cooking, while Ranta faces consequences from Yume for damaging a bathhouse wall. Team Manato struggles with rain and limited resources, wearing the same clothes daily and washing them at night. They eventually enter Damuro ruins, killing a sleeping goblin to earn four silver coins. Subsequent hunts allow the team to purchase better weapons, clothing, and food. In their quarters, Yume advises a shy Shihoru to communicate with the men, and Haruhiro reflects on his gratitude toward leader Manato. The day concludes with Haruhiro noting it is the twenty-third day in Grimgar.
EP 4Team Manato hunts goblins, but Manato falls in battle and is cremated by Hōnen.
Feb 1, 2016Early the next morning, Manato encourages Shihoru to feed the doves, catching her when she loses her balance. Team Manato returns to Damuro to hunt three more goblins, utilizing new skills learned during their respective guild training sessions. During a break, Manato praises their teamwork. However, upon resuming the hunt, they encounter goblins that are too powerful to defeat. While retreating, Manato is struck by an arrow and collapses, having exhausted his healing powers earlier. The group rushes to Ortana to see Hōnen, master of the Priests Guild. Hōnen delivers the devastating news that Manato has died and cannot be revived. He suggests a proper cremation funeral. The remaining group weeps for their friend as his ashes are carried away in the wind.
EP 5Haruhiro leads the group while managing grief, new member Mary, and Renji's generous gift.
Feb 8, 2016Haruhiro explains that Manato’s burial cost one silver coin, split between cremation and grave fees. The group mourns deeply after the funeral. Haruhiro, Ranta, and Moguzo visit Shelly's Tavern, where Kikkawa warns that group Priests are high-value targets requiring protection. Acting as leader, Haruhiro recruits Mary into Team Haruhiro with Kikkawa’s assistance. Upon returning to Damuro to fight goblins, the members find Mary sullen and uncooperative. Back at the tavern, Volunteer Soldier Renji offers Haruhiro a gold coin worth 100 silver coins as compensation for Manato’s death, but Haruhiro refuses the gift. Later, Yume cries with Haruhiro outside the bathhouse, reminiscing about their time under Manato’s leadership. Haruhiro apologizes for excluding the girls from decisions, and the two cuddle while Shihoru observes them from a window with a different perspective.

Later, Hayashi of Team Orion explains Mary's coldness, revealing she healed her former party's minor injuries like Manato did, but three members died when her magic depleted too soon during a fight with a giant kobold in the Cyrene Mine.

In an abandoned building, they engage a difficult battle against skilled foes, utilizing their improved abilities to defeat them. Haruhiro eliminates the last goblin, who had previously stolen his dagger and shot Mary, triggering painful recollections of Manato. Upon victory, the party earns sufficient funds to purchase their Volunteer Soldier badges. Shihoru places a badge at Manato’s grave in tears. As snow falls, Haruhiro and Mary discuss the unhealable wounds of grief regarding her former party members. Mary eventually departs after finding solace in their conversation, leaving Haruhiro to reflect on the enduring pain of loss.

Haruhiro proposes moving their hunting grounds to the Cyrene Mine, warning the group to avoid the savage kobold Death Spots. Mary becomes overwhelmed and steps outside. Haruhiro follows her, and she reveals her friends died at that location. Despite Mary's emotional baggage, the team decides to proceed. Later, during training with Barbara, Haruhiro asks about the streaks of light he sees during combat that indicate where to strike.
EP 10Haruhiro questions his leadership after Ranta's reckless behavior in the Cyrene Mine
Mar 14, 2016Team Haruhiro enters the Cyrene Mine, defeating three lesser kobolds and two normal kobolds to collect their nose talismans. Later, Haruhiro struggles with self-doubt regarding his leadership abilities due to Ranta’s rash conduct. Confronting Ranta about the incident, Haruhiro notes that Ranta is often misunderstood in combat, but Ranta retorts by highlighting Haruhiro’s weaknesses. The following day, the group returns to the Cyrene Mine, where they defeat a normal kobold and an elder kobold. Upon reaching the farmland, they spot Death Spots nearby. However, Ranta accidentally triggers a tripwire cowbell alarm, causing Mary to hyperventilate at the sight of the threat.

Mar 21, 2016Mary dreams of reuniting with Michiki, Og, and Mutsumi. She wakes Haruhiro and leads Team Haruhiro to safety in an open field. The group rests in temple ruins where Mary had a traumatic experience. Three undead, the reanimated corpses of Michiki, Og, and Mutsumi, interrupt their rest because their bodies were not cremated. The party fends off the undead, allowing Mary to purify each one. Haruhiro discusses warrior goals with his group. Death Spots suddenly appears, forcing them to flee. Team Haruhiro is chased through caverns and escapes through a well. Ranta is cut off and left behind to face Death Spots alone.
EP 12Haruhiro defeats Death Spots and reunites with his friends in Grimgar
Mar 28, 2016Ranta escapes through a well to join the group in the farmland, where Team Haruhiro faces Death Spots blocking their path. After fighting off the enemies, they rest in caves but are quickly found. Haruhiro sacrifices himself by strangling a Death Spot into a pit, allowing his teammates to retreat while he prepares to die. Sudden light streaks empower him to defeat the enemy before he passes out. He wakes up healed at home, reunited with his relieved friends. They discuss how to spend the 30 gold coins earned from the kill. At Shelly's Tavern, Renji apologizes for his role in Manato's death. Haruhiro visits Manato's grave, where a vision suggests Haruhiro has matured as a leader, and he embraces his new memories with his companions in Grimgar.
