Ep. 13: The Delicious Feudal Monks

Toutetsu, the final member of the Four Perils, consumes virtuous monks to boost his demon power despite holding the orange Rainbow Pearl. Kohaku dispatches Hisui, Towa, and Setsuna to guard Miroku during his 1000-day spiritual training, while Jyuubei assigns Moroha to protect another monk. Hisui initially resents meeting his father, Miroku, due to disapproval of his behavior. They encounter Hisui’s older sister Gyokuto, who visits her father. When Toutetsu attacks Miroku, Hisui is poisoned by the enemy’s trap. The sisters fight while Miroku tends to Hisui. Recognizing their disadvantage, Setsuna requests Miroku remove the seal restraining her demonic blood, unleashing her true power to force Toutetsu’s retreat. Miroku later restores the seal, improving Hisui’s view of him. Afterward, the trio bids Miroku farewell as he cleans the battle mess. Hisui reports Miroku’s safety to his mother Sango, while Moroha remains disappointed in her lack of bounty.
