Ep. 16: Moroha faces Yawaragi in a battle over cursed armor and past debts.
Three years prior, Yawaragi tasked Moroha with surviving a demon fight in the Kodoku cave without using her rouge, promising the Kurikaramaru sword as a reward. To settle debts with Jyuubei, Moroha worked for Yawaragi while the mentor sought fire-rat demons to remove Moroha’s life-threatening cursed armor. In the present, Yawaragi discovers Konton slaughtered the demons and demands Moroha’s life for the armor’s removal key. Moroha hesitates to use her rouge, recalling Yawaragi’s past curse from losing control. Yawaragi attacks with Scattering Winds, but Moroha deflects it using Kurikaramaru’s Crimson Backlash Wave. Moroha inadvertently defeats Yawaragi and leaves her buried. Realizing she is not alone, Moroha resumes traveling with Towa and Setsuna.
