Isumi arrives at Nagi's mansion while Hayate departs to fetch tea. He is ambushed by butlers and loan sharks but returns with a cold. Isumi is revealed as Nagi's childhood friend. Nagi cooks a meal for Hayate, accidentally using detergent instead of cooking oil, which he eats despite his concerns. Later, Nagi attempts to kiss a sleeping Hayate, but he wakes up, causing her to hit him in anger. The following day, after Hayate recovers, he encounters Wataru Tachibana, a young boy accompanied by his maid. Wataru is introduced as Nagi's fiancé, marking a significant development in the ongoing narrative at the estate.
