Ep. 7: Hayate Delivers Videos to Wataru After Duel Misunderstanding
Wataru challenges Hayate to a duel due to his infatuation with Isumi. Hayate intentionally loses to facilitate a romantic outcome for Wataru and Isumi, hoping this allows Nagi to end her unwanted engagement. However, the transparent deception hurts Wataru’s feelings. To apologize, Hayate, Isumi, and Nagi navigate the Tokyo subway system. Nagi then tasks Hayate with delivering a bag of videos to Wataru. In the city, Hayate meets Wataru’s maid, Saki Kijima, who guides him to the video store. There, Hayate learns Wataru dreams of running a successful doujinshi business. Hayate expresses his desire to join the store staff, only to discover he is already registered. He realizes his father, Shun Ayasaki, failed to return rented videos, leaving Hayate depressed about the financial responsibility for the rental fees.
