Ep. 9: Hayate attempts to motivate Nagi to attend school, leading to a nighttime retrieval mission involving Yukiji and Hinagiku.

Hayate convinces Nagi to attend school by promising daily transportation, and she reluctantly agrees. After returning home, Nagi realizes she left her notebook behind. Hayate volunteers to retrieve it late at night, encountering teacher Yukiji at the gate. Yukiji is introduced by Izumi Segawa, Miki Hanabishi, and Risa Asakaze, known as the Hakuou Three Amiga. While Izumi and her butlers handle exorcisms elsewhere, Hayate enters the old school building where he finds Hinagiku being chased by a haunted doll. He rescues her, and together they continue searching for the notebook. Hayate successfully returns the item to Nagi, leaving him to ponder whether the school might actually be a pleasant place.
