Hoshi no Koe

In 2046, an unknown alien force launches an attack on humanity. Mikako leaves the person she loves to become a pilot in the interstellar war. As she fights to protect humans, Noboru remains behind, waiting for her messages. At first, communication is frequent, but over time, the delay increases—days turn into months, then years. Mikako experiences little time due to the nature of space travel, while Noboru grows older on Earth. The two are separated by vast distances and the effects of time, struggling to maintain contact as the years stretch further apart.
