Ep. 9: An goes missing before the match while Tsubasa suffers a wrist injury at home

Shingo’s sister An arrives at Shijo Minami for the boys versus girls practice match but disappears beforehand. The boys panic, fearing cancellation if she is not found. Nao locates An in the infirmary but, pressured by his mother, locks her inside and deceives the team. Maki discovers the lie, retrieves the key, and ensures An is safe. The matches proceed with positive results for the boys. Meanwhile, Tsubasa returns home and is severely reprimanded by his father for quitting soccer for tennis. His father slaps him, causing Tsubasa to fall down the stairs and break his wrist. He flees to Shingo’s house, where Shingo’s father takes him to the hospital. Doctors inform them that Tsubasa cannot play tennis for two months.
