Ep. 12: Inuyasha encounters the Tatarimokke while Kagome deals with Mayu's vengeful spirit
Aired on January 22, 2001

Inuyasha discovers the Tatarimokke, a benevolent youkai that guides the souls of deceased children through its music. This creature remains harmless as long as its eyes stay closed, but transforms into a terrifying entity if they are opened. Simultaneously, Kagome encounters the vengeful spirit of Mayu, who is the older sister of Sota's friend Satoru. Satoru is currently in a comatose state. Mayu faces the risk of being taken to the underworld unless she can let go of her intense hatred toward her mother and her jealousy regarding her younger brother.
