Sesshomaru expresses disappointment that Sara stole the Tetsusaiga from Inuyasha, prompting Inuyasha to chase her. Sara recounts past events to Sesshomaru, including his initial demand for the sword, an assassination attempt by the Asano clan, and her illness where apparitions surrounded her. She explains that she allowed herself to be consumed for rebirth to devote herself to Sesshomaru. As Inuyasha arrives to retrieve the sword, Sesshomaru releases the apparitions from Sara. She is revealed to be a medium controlled by a demon. Sesshomaru wields the Tetsusaiga first to destroy the demon, and then Inuyasha uses it to eradicate the remaining apparitions.
