Ep. 54: Inuyasha masters the Backlash Wave to defeat Ryukotsusei

Inuyasha loses control of the Tetsusaiga and undergoes a demonic transformation. He resolves to fight both Ryukotsusei and his own youkai nature to reclaim his weapon's power. An initial attempt to use the Wind Scar against Ryukotsusei fails. Inuyasha then successfully learns the Backlash Wave, a technique that captures an enemy's attack in a whirlpool and reflects it back with enhanced force from the Wind Scar. This mastery allows him to finally defeat Ryukotsusei.
