Naraku's barrier mysteriously weakens, enabling Inuyasha and Koga to detect the demon by scent. Kanna informs Kagura that Koga is approaching, prompting her to trap him in a whirlwind of skeletons. Despite Koga's attempts to overtake her, Kagura successfully extracts Shikon Jewel shards from his legs. This event forces Kagura to consider betraying her master. She subsequently approaches Sesshomaru, offering the acquired shards of the Shikon Jewel in exchange for the death of Naraku, marking a critical decision in her allegiance.
