Inuyasha defeats Muso with the Wind Scar, unaware that the enemy can regenerate. The group splits up as Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo encounter Kagura, while Kagome and Kaede investigate Onigumo's cave. Muso arrives at the same location, having regained his memories and recalling the birth of Naraku.
