Taigokumaru attacks the village while protected by Shiori’s guardian powers and the Blood Coral Crystal. Inuyasha connects with Shiori by sharing his traumatic childhood memories. Upon learning that Taigokumaru killed her father, Tsukuyomaru, Shiori aids Inuyasha in destroying the crystal. This action enables Inuyasha to use the Backlash Wave to defeat her grandfather. The destruction of the Blood Coral Crystal also grants Inuyasha the new ability to break barriers.
