Misaki sees Usagi’s brother getting married on TV, prompting cousin Kaoruko to ask Usagi for marriage to escape her father’s pressure. Usagi refuses, but Misaki lets Kaoruko stay. When the brother arrives, Misaki distracts him with a drive, learning the brother dislikes the marriage and dreams of architecture. Misaki realizes the brother is not bad but then encounters Usagi’s father, who calls Misaki a threat to family stability. Shocked, Misaki rushes home to keep his three-hour promise, hiding his pain from a worried Usagi. He vows to mask his emotions better. The next day, Kaoruko confesses her feelings for Misaki, making him proud that a girl finally likes him.
