Ep. 11: Yoko and Rakushun learn the origin story of King En from one of his men.
Aired on June 25, 2002

A subordinate of King En recounts the history of Enki to Yoko and Rakushun. Enki was abandoned by his parents after their town was destroyed by their emperor, leaving them unable to care for him. As a taika born in Wo, Japan, he was rescued by a nyokai. Although Enki initially swore never to select a king due to the atrocities committed by rulers, he eventually traveled through a shoku and encountered the man who would become King En. After observing his actions, Enki pledged his loyalty and chose him as king. Yoko is told this tale to understand the methods by which kings and queens are selected in the Twelve Kingdoms.
