Ep. 8: Sugimoto Confronts Yoko Amidst King Kou's Deadly Youma Attack in En

King Kou orders Sugimoto to assassinate Yoko, who remains alive. Sugimoto instructs Kourin to alter Yoko's appearance and observes Kourin's illness. The entertainer group travels to En with Yoko, who boards a smaller vessel to avoid endangering them. Sugimoto spots her on the main ship but hesitates due to her changed appearance. King Kou summons youma to eliminate Yoko, forcing Sugimoto to fight her to avoid displeasing the king. A massive water youma emerges, consuming all other youma and killing the hinman within Sugimoto. Witnessing the death of the kind hanjyuu boy, Sugimoto faints. She awakens in En with no trace of Yoko.
