Ep. 12: Yoko confronts visions of Kei's past ruler and doubts her own capacity for just leadership.
Aired on July 2, 2002

Yoko experiences a sword vision revealing the previous Kei ruler’s jealousy-driven order to kill all women. This revelation deepens her anxiety regarding her own potential for tyranny and suitability as a ruler. Jyouyuu, Keiki’s hinman, departs Yoko’s body, affirming that he has shared her experiences and believes she possesses the necessary qualities for leadership. Seeking guidance, Yoko visits her teacher Heki’s residence, where she encounters Sugimoto. With Jyouyuu absent, Yoko and Sugimoto engage in combat as ordinary girls. King Kou subsequently arrives, and the truth emerges through Yoko’s sword: he orchestrated campaigns to suppress Kei out of jealousy toward neighboring kingdoms, aiming to enhance his own standing.
