Ep. 13: King Kou's Death and Yoko's Return to Japan After the Final Battle

Following the exposure of King Kou's secrets, Sugimoto collapses while Yoko comforts her. Kourin arrives in a severely deteriorated condition known as shitsudou. Although King Kou commands Kourin to execute Yoko, he attacks her personally instead. Kourin disobeys the order by blocking his sword, resulting in her death. This sacrifice ensures King Kou will not survive beyond a year. With King Kou defeated, King En assembles troops to assist Yoko in rescuing Keiki and securing his rightful rule over Kei. After defeating the false queen Joei, Yoko sends Sugimoto back to Japan.
