An ISO volcanic research center is attacked by the Magma Giant, forcing the God Phoenix to escape into the sea. Joe notes the giant resembles a Jesus Christ sculpture in a national park, prompting the Science Ninja Team to investigate. They question a girl sculpting the statue, who claims to continue her family’s third-generation tradition. Inside a cave base, they discover the sculpture is plunged into lava to create the giant. Ken summons the God Phoenix as the team uses a rocket to break a special glass lens at the sea bottom, which focuses sunlight to heat the magma. Upon receiving a message from Nambu that the giant is heading toward a city, the team lures it into the sea. The water instantly cools the giant into a black rock, allowing the girl to resume her sculpting.
