Ep. 12: Aoi and Akatsuki rescue missing children from Tenjin-ya's secret basement workshop.

Hatori visits Aoi, revealing his connection to Shiro and Matsuba’s disowned third son, which sparks an argument with Akatsuki. Aoi decides to serve shaved ice at Moonflower while three children vanish from the inn. Aoi and Akatsuki locate the missing kids in a basement workshop operated by Tesso, where Aoi’s ogre fire necklace glows by drawing spiritual energy. After the children flee in fear, Aoi gets lost until Nobunaga, Tokihiko’s pet dog, guides her to a picture of Odanna with the Zashiki-warashi. She is then teleported to the children, who are searching for a lost hair ornament near a cliff. One child falls but is saved by Akatsuki’s spider silk. Akatsuki returns the ornament, and the children reunite with their parents. Aoi receives a message from Odanna promising his return, while Ginji appears at Moonflower in nine tail fox cub form, suffering from an illness.
