Ep. 4: Haqua Overcomes Spirit Possession and Regains Her Spirit Hunter Pride

A spirit empowered by students' negative emotions possesses them to stop Haqua and Elsie on the roof. Haqua, distraught over failing her expectations, is also possessed. Keima and Elsie arrive to find Haqua under the spirit's control, which uses her and the possessed students to capture them. Haqua must calm her negative emotions to break free. Ashamed of lying to Elsie, who still views her as the greatest spirit hunter, Haqua is embraced by Elsie. This acceptance allows Haqua to escape the spirit's control. She fends off the possessed students while Elsie captures the spirit. Haqua thanks Keima for his help and for hiding her ruse from Elsie. Keima congratulates Elsie, who buys them lunch to celebrate their success.
