During a formal gathering, Mai initially presents herself well, but the event turns chaotic when the lighting system fails, leading to her being blamed for the damage once more. Facing the threat of expulsion, Mai finds herself in a precarious position. Sayuri intervenes by negotiating with the student council, offering to become a member in exchange for reversing the disciplinary action against Mai. Later, on the occasion of Mai’s birthday, a tragic event occurs where Sayuri suffers injuries inflicted by the monsters that Mai is tasked with hunting, highlighting the dangers associated with her duties.
