Hajime locates Miyuki being taken to the Samurai Temple by a warrior, while Detective Kenmochi uncovers a 400-year-old legend involving General Kaneharu. After Kaneharu’s death, he cursed the village, leading to the capture of Hajime and Miyuki by the Cursed Warrior, who shows Seimaru’s severed head. Kenmochi suspects servant Senda Saruhiko killed Akanuma, but Saruhiko dies from a misfiring gun. With Seimaru and Saruhiko dead, Kuranosuke takes over the family and orders the others to leave. They stay at a hotel overnight and return the next morning. Hajime concludes Saruhiko was duped, implicating one of Kuranosuke Tatsumi’s first three children: Ryunosuske, Moegi, or Hayato.
