When the clock strikes twelve, Kamiya leaps up, exposing himself as the killer who intended to stab Saotome. He confesses that he and Fuyuko loved each other, calling themselves Christine and Raoul. After overhearing Hidaka, Kiryu, and Saotome plotting to frighten Fuyuko, she took her own life. Driven by grief and a desire for revenge, Kamiya flees to the roof and jumps to death, hoping to reunite with Fuyuko in heaven.
