Komi worries Najimi saw her holding Tadano’s hand, so she writes a letter but feels embarrassed. After handing it over, she flees when Tadano asks about her actions, leaving Najimi to claim she checked his pulse. In the bathroom, Komi remains flustered. Narcissist Shisuto Naruse attempts to approach Komi but is overwhelmed by classmates. He leaves nervously, and Komi returns his fallen handkerchief outside. Delighted, Naruse asks for her contact info, but she runs away, so he sends selfies to Tadano instead. Tadano asks Komi about destinations for their upcoming school trip to Kyoto. On the walk home, Tadano notices Komi is down, though she denies it. Once apart, Komi calls Tadano to admit her fear of exclusion from a past elementary school trip. Tadano reassures her she has real friends now and invites her to go together. She accepts, expressing enthusiasm for the trip.
