Riki and Saya proceed to the fifth basement after pulling a ceiling lever. Saya destroys a moving statue with a sword found by Riki, but sprains her ankle. Riki carries her, causing embarrassment, which prompts Saya to confess her feelings and seek a kiss. Riki reciprocates by asking her to close her eyes. They reach the sixth basement, where Saya hopes the treasure is a time machine to meet Riki again. She asks for a date if the mission succeeds, and he agrees. They encounter Shun Tokikaze, director of the Darkness Executives. Saya fights Shun alone but dies, triggering a game over screen. The game restarts, stating this is her 99th or 100th time, and the journey repeats with her asking Riki to run down the school hallway.
