Soubi defeats Zero by summoning a snowstorm, exploiting the fact that their blood congeals faster than human blood. Ritsuka hears Soubi cry out in pain and searches for him. Upon finding Soubi, he lies about being fine and flees, but Ritsuka notices blood drops on the ground and realizes he is injured. Later, Soubi tends to the Zero pair because Seimei instructed him to finish things properly. He then receives a text message from Ritsuka demanding that he never lie to him again.
