Lupin and his accomplices successfully steal a secret cash hoard belonging to the New York Mafia. However, the containers they took are discovered to be filled with old newspapers rather than money. In response to this deception, the Mafia places a substantial bounty on Lupin’s head. Consequently, Inspector Zenigata pursues him while numerous other individuals in New York attempt to claim the reward. The situation escalates as Lupin must navigate these threats to determine if he can retrieve the actual funds or if he will perish in the Hudson River.
