Meanwhile, the Alpha Team discusses cheating strategies, with Mr. Wiley directing Mr. Fixer and driver Zoomer Slick to execute dirty tricks. Determined to defeat the Masked Racer, Speed sneaks out at night to race in heavy rain. The Masked Racer warns him to stay away, but Speed refuses, insisting on racing blindly into the night. Suddenly, an unknown individual cuts a rope, causing logs to block the track. Speed crashes, tumbles from his car, and falls unconscious.
