Hayate, Freyja, and Mirage stand trial before Heinz and receive death sentences. Lloyd transports Mikumo to the Sanctum, believing she is the reincarnated Star Singer. Inside the castle, Berger secretly moves Arad, Kaname, Makina, and Reina to Wright Immelmann’s VF-22 Sturmvogel II, confirming it is operational. Just as the execution begins, the VF-22 crashes out as a distraction, allowing the trio to flee toward the Protoculture Center. During the escape, Makina is wounded by a sniper while shielding Freyja but insists the team proceed. Lloyd releases Mikumo’s true form, compelling Chaos to halt their operation. Mikumo sings a lethal ancient melody that causes Freyja to age prematurely.
