After their shuttle crashes, Mikumo, Makina, and Reina conceal themselves in the forest to avoid Windermerean forces. Meanwhile, Freyja guides Hayate and Mirage to her village, while Arad and Kaname arrive at an abandoned N.U.N.S. garrison. Mikumo is taken captive by Lloyd. Hayate, Freyja, and Mirage are surrounded by the Aerial Knights, who accuse Hayate of his father's crimes and Freyja of betrayal. The knights then transport the group to the location of the dimensional bomb.
