A foreign princess visits Japan, prompting Kid to target her jewel. Detective Delon arrives from Europe to replace Inspector Nakamori as head of security, shooting rivals without inquiry. Upon learning Nakamori will be removed from the case, Kaito explains that magicians plan tricks in advance and distract audiences. Kaito embarrasses Detective Delon and the European security team by staging a scenario where Inspector Nakamori saves the jewel. He then delivers a speech about how difficult the inspector makes his job, which successfully cements Nakamori's position on the Kid hunt crew.
