An obnoxious elderly man issues Kid a challenge to steal his blue jewel. Kid devises a scheme to appear as if he is walking on air. With assistance from his Butler and Chopper #7, Kid evades detection by more than 20 helicopters while concealing wires attached to his back. Detective Conan is present in the crowd and recognizes Kid impersonating the old man. Conan waits in his escape car for Kid to flee. Kid unknowingly takes Conan with him during the getaway. Conan reveals himself and points his tranq gun at Kid. Kid has a pre-planned escape trick for when his fuel line is shot by the tranq gun.
