Aoko compels Kaito to investigate school ghost rumors, leading him to discover Akako practicing real magic. He conceals this truth by feigning illusion magic, which enrages Akako. Seeking revenge, she summons Lucifer to identify a time when Kaito faces danger as Kid the Phantom Thief. She then manipulates Inspector Nakamori into acquiring a cursed necklace that drives him to destroy perceived evil. Akako waits on a tightrope for Kid’s arrival, but Nakamori appears and knocks the safety clip off the building. Kaito must use his glider to rescue Akako, temporarily diverting her destructive anger away from himself.
