As the town prepares for an approaching typhoon, Mai meets Shelley, a mysterious girl in the park who appears to control the wind. Shelley is powerful yet clumsy, leading Toppo to suspect she is not ordinary despite Mai's belief otherwise. On the day the storm arrives, Shelley visits the bakery for assistance. Toppo persuades Mai to transform into Emi to communicate with her. Shelley reveals she is a Wind Fairy trapped in the human world because she lacks sufficient magical power to return home independently. Since Emi is scheduled to perform live magic during the storm, Shelley requests her help to facilitate her journey back.
