Ep. 7: Mai confronts gender inequality and domestic burdens after a poor Home Ec grade

Following a low grade in Home Ec, Mai realizes the unequal societal standards imposed on men and women. She becomes enraged by the hypocrisy of the men in her life who demand she become a perfect housewife while contributing nothing useful themselves. This anger intensifies when her mother falls ill due to her father's relentless demands. Mai assumes many of her mother's responsibilities for the day, allowing her to truly grasp the difficulty of being a woman living under such heavy expectations.
