Ep. 13: IRA Bomb Expert Richard Connelly Enlists Keaton to Defuse Terrorist Device

Richard Connelly, an Irish Republican Army bomb expert, tasks Keaton with locating a concealed explosive in the Benson & Son's shopping center. After recalling his grandfather, Connelly and Keaton descend to the basement to neutralize a shaped charge planted by terrorist Gerald Donavan. They then discover the main device on the top floor. To prevent accidental detonation via vibration, Keaton injects a solidifying liquid that coagulates after ten minutes. As Connelly unscrews the casing, he observes the copper melting rapidly. Keaton retrieves two chocolate bars to assist in the delicate defusal process. Connelly survives the operation but is wounded. He later returns to his grandfather's funeral, placing a chocolate bar inside the coffin to honor his memory.
