Ep. 10: Detective Charlie Chapman investigates a murder case involving forged art and a framed suspect.

Detective Charlie Chapman interrogates suspect Garner, who denies murdering art dealer Edward Dorfman. Charlie advises Garner to defend himself in court rather than commit suicide. Charlie reunites with childhood friend Keaton and later discusses the case at a formal party. He reveals that Dorfman’s wife Janet saw Garner with a gun near the body. Charlie discovers Garner took bribes from Dorfman, who hired forger McBain to replace real paintings with fakes while Garner handled related issues. Charlie matches Garner’s gun to the murder weapon and considers the case closed. However, Keaton finds a cartridge near Garner’s pool and questions Garner about a greasy leather piece. Keaton theorizes the real shooter wrapped the leather around the bullet to frame Garner. Keaton’s insight leads Charlie to identify McBain, who was having an affair with Janet, as the true culprit.
