Ep. 120: Richard Investigates Stacy Young’s Fall from a Mountain House Balcony
Richard visits former client Stacy Young at her mountain residence to assist with a spa resort announcement. Stacy falls from the second floor and dies, with initial evidence suggesting a bee attack caused her to run off the balcony. Conan suspects foul play and investigates independently. He tranquilizes Richard and identifies housekeeper Stanley Aikman as the murderer. Stanley had coated the doorknob with bees and honey to exploit Stacy’s apiphobia, blocking her escape. He also weakened the balcony railing using ether, causing it to collapse when Stacy leaned against it. Evidence includes thread in Stanley’s pocket, used to release bees from a balloon hidden in the chimney. Stanley confesses, citing past humiliation by Stacy after he once saved her from bees.
