Kogoro Mouri relaxes at a luxury hotel until Ran interrupts him for staring at poolside women. They encounter Eri Kisaki, who is meeting former schoolmates Ritsuko Usui and Norifumi Saku for a legal conference. After dinner, a drunk Kogoro disappears, leading the group to search for him. Eri calls his phone and hears it ringing from inside Ritsuko’s room. Despite the chain lock being engaged, they find Ritsuko strangled to death. Shockingly, Kogoro emerges from the bed, making him the prime suspect. Inspector Yamamura leads the investigation. Eri finds a crumpled memo reading "hayashi 2," suggesting a third party is framing Kogoro. Additionally, "Do Not Disturb" and "pay later" signs on the door puzzle Conan regarding the culprit's true intentions.
