Conan realizes he left his voice-changing bow tie at the hotel, but Haibara arrives with it. He instructs Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta to gather items, then impersonates Professor Agasa to reveal the murder method. The victim was buried in a shore hole, covered in fishnet, and weighed down by a boat filled with seawater to prevent escape during high tide. False evidence on the boat misled police into thinking the victim was trapped inside before drowning. The killer confesses to avenging his father, claiming divine punishment. Ran counters that true courage involves doing what is right, not taking lives. Following this confrontation, Haibara approaches Ran and formally introduces herself to her.
