Ran reveals Akai is an FBI agent, prompting Conan to question their presence in Japan. Conan visits Agasa to analyze data from Itakara's disk, discovering the Black Organization planned to visit the cottage to retrieve a specific program. To trace the organization, Conan and Agasa go to the cottage to intercept an email the group intends to send. The email is programmed to delete itself if the correct password is not entered, a mechanism that leads the Black Organization members to believe Itakara is still inside. Consequently, Vodka calls the house, expecting Itakara to answer the phone.
