After successful assembly, a neighbor brings an art connoisseur to verify an Edo era Raijin painting scroll. The neighbor attempts to buy the heirloom to match his Fūjin picture, but the owners refuse due to financial struggles and the item's sentimental value. The connoisseur criticizes the artwork's poor care, and both depart. Later, the children buy wine for amazake preparation. Upon returning, they encounter the connoisseur who claims to have left his mobile phone. They find the apartment door unlocked and the interior in disarray, with the valuable painting missing.
