Ep. 31: Prime time mystery host shoots co-host during studio break leading to complex murder investigation

Kogoro attends a TV studio as a guest, where co-host Suwa Michihiko is shot during a four-minute break. Conan suspects host Takeshi, who has an alibi placing him on a different floor. The detective discovers missing blood on a window and a bullet hole outside, noting the storage room is two floors above the crime scene. Conan puts Kogoro to sleep to reveal the truth: Takeshi tricked Michihiko into looking out the window under the guise of suicidal intentions, then dropped the gun through the open window before returning to the ninth floor. Evidence includes an active redial button proving Takeshi knew the number. Takeshi confesses to save the show from cancellation. Kogoro wakes up, suspects Conan of drugging him, but is distracted by Okino Yoko.
