Ep. 30: Detective Conan investigates the murder of lawyer Tatsumi Souhei's wife Kazumi

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan meet lawyer Tatsumi Souhei, who hires Kogoro to surveil his wife Kazumi. Later, police discover Kazumi strangled and stuffed into a bathtub at Souhei’s manor. Conan suspects Souhei but Kogoro provides an alibi. Conan returns to the hotel and notes a unique melody from a music box alarm clock in the room next to Souhei’s. At the funeral, lover Hirose Shunzou is suspected, but Conan tranquilizes Kogoro to expose Souhei. Souhei killed Kazumi in the adjacent guest room, disposed of the body via a laundry chute, and moved it to the bathtub. Conan proves Souhei’s guilt by matching a tape of the alarm clock to the phone call melody. Souhei confesses, admitting he killed Kazumi to stop her blackmail regarding his corruption.
